Playfair Library (ceremony)

Old College, University of Edinburgh, South Bridge, Edinburgh EH8 9YL

Rob used to sit exams in here.  Now he's just got to ace one question to pass and he'd better get it right.

Built in 1817, the Playfair was a working library from the 1820s until the University’s main collection was moved to George Square in the 1960s. One of the finest public rooms in all the land, it's now used for dinners, receptions, prestigious lectures and awesome as weddings.

After the ceremony and photos, wedding guests will be ferried down the road to...

South Hall (reception)

Pollock Halls, 18 Holyrood Park Road, Edinburgh, EH16 5AY

Rob, Sarah and friends attend regular Tennaich ceilidhs here.  The oak floor is sprung for dancing, so no sore legs!

If you're keen to roll right into bed after the reception dinner and ceilidh, have a look at the accomodation the University offers on site.  There are some pretty swanky options (and weddin' guests get 15% off).

Finding South Hall

People who are going to the ceremony, will be transported to South Hall. (so you don't need to worry about this) For people, who are joining us for the dinner and ceilidh only, you might want to look at this map. You will want to come in through the gate at (A) and then the entrance to the South Hall should be fairly easy to find. Click the map for a larger version.
