Ok, so we are trying out cake recipes for the wedding cake(s). First one up is Sarah's cousin Kate's Lemon cake, which came highly recommended.
The recipe called for a ring tin (the one with the hole in the middle), which we don't have, but I figured that if we placed a tin can in the middle, it should work just as well. Quite clever, but next time I'll need to weigh it down because tin cans will eventually float in a cake mixture. D:
So the result looks a bit wonky (well, that's what white cake icing is for) but it tastes ok.
